Venue Change For Amelia Youth Meet On Saturday |
|
And We Need Referees and
Judges |
|
The
Amelia Steel Rain or Shine Fence Dry! tournament on
Saturday is moving to the Amelia County High School,
just down the road from the Middle School (you can
easily see it from the Middle School). There are
now over 24 competitors for the event in age groups
Youth 17 and younger, and the added space will allow
running enough strips that we should complete at a
reasonable time.
Because of the number of
fencers, please be there when registration opens at
8:30 am. Once we get you registered, we will need
help with a variety of tasks to make sure we can
start on time at 9:00 am.
And with four or five strips
running at the same time we are going to need judges
and most especially referees.
If you can referee for either foil or epee, we would
really appreciate your help.
To get to the High
School take Business US 360 into the town of
Amelia Court House. Continue to Otterburn Road
on the western edge of the town, and turn left
(south) - you will pass the emergency services
building and the Middle School. Continue south
and the High School will be on your right at the
intersection with Five Forks Road (State Route
38).
